Get ready for a day tour that takes you to the heart of Tiraspol, the de facto capital of Transnistria, with a stop at Benderi Fortress along the way. At the end of the main itinerary, you’ll have the option to extend your adventure with an additional cycling route.
Depart from Chisinau : Begin your cycling adventure toward Tiraspol.
Stop at Benderi Town : Explore the historic Benderi Fortress , a stunning example of medieval military architecture. Take in the views of the Dniester River and learn about the fortress’s role in regional history.
Arrive in Tiraspol : Upon arrival, pick up your bicycles from our local partner, Red Star Guest House , and begin your city tour on two wheels. Start at 25 October Square , where you’ll see the Suvorov Monument , the towering Lenin statue , the Parliament building , a WWII-era tank, and memorials dedicated to World War II, the Afghan War, and the Transnistrian War.
Cycle past significant sites like the Russian Embassy , National Bank , House of Soviets , and Gagarin Square , named after Yuri Gagarin, the first human in space.
Green Market (7am–2pm) : Immerse yourself in local life at this bustling market, where fresh produce and handmade goods are traded daily.
Aviators Monument & Soviet MIG Fighter Jet : After the market, head to the Aviators Monument , a tribute to aviation heroes, and marvel at the nearby Soviet MIG fighter jet , a relic of the region’s military history.

Option 2. Extra tour: Tiraspol – Kitkani village – Tiraspol – Chisinau
We bid farewell to Tiraspol and begin a singular adventure, crossing the Dniester River on an old Soviet-era military ferry. Cycle through Kitkani famous forest and see old functioning Soviet Pioneer Camps. This uncommon journey brings us back to the area’s Soviet and religious heritage. On the opposite bank, we arrive at Kitkani Village, location of the stunning Noul Neamț Monastery, an Orthodox complex famous for its golden cupolas and peaceful, spiritual ambiance. We’ll also visit the House of Culture, in front of which there is a prominent statue of Lenin.
