At Moldova Discovery Tours, we’re more than just a tour company. We are a bridge between cultures, a grassroots peacebuilding initiative, and a passionate team working to promote sustainable tourism in Moldova, Transnistria, and Gagauzia.

Our tours are designed to bring people together, challenge stereotypes, and create unforgettable experiences for our guests. But we’re also deeply rooted in the local communities – especially those in rural and underserved areas – where we aim to bring positive change and resilience through our work.

What We Need – And Why It Matters

Transport (Minibus, Van, or SUV for 7–15 people)
We need reliable transportation to take groups on tours across Moldova, Gagauzia, and Transnistria. It will also help us access remote villages, support local artisans, and connect international travelers with authentic cultural experiences.

Old but Working Laptops
Donated computers will be given to local libraries and families with schoolchildren who have no access to computers at home. This helps bridge the digital gap and supports education in under-resourced communities.

Powerbanks (Small and Domestic Units)
Due to frequent blackouts caused by the ongoing regional gas crisis, many families – especially children and the elderly – are left without electricity for 10–15 hours during the day. Powerbanks can be lifesaving during these times.

Walkie-Talkies (Radio Stations)
In rural areas where mobile coverage is weak, walkie-talkies are essential – especially for people collecting wood in the forest or moving around on foot.

Bicycles
With public transportation becoming increasingly expensive and unreliable, bicycles offer an affordable, healthy, and sustainable alternative for people in both cities and villages.

Torches, Light Bulbs, and Batteries
These basic items become crucial during blackouts. They provide light for students to study, families to cook, and elders to move safely at night.

Solar Panels & Domestic Powerbanks
We aim to install solar systems on rooftops of homes in towns and villages, ensuring that families have access to electricity even during the longest outages.

Generators
A reliable backup during crises, generators help maintain heating, refrigeration, and communication in remote or poorly connected households.

Hand Saws
High-quality saws are in short supply in local markets. Many villagers depend on them to prepare firewood for cooking and heating.

Electric Heating Systems (Radiators)
With the rising cost of gas and wood, electric radiators – powered by solar panels – offer a cleaner, more sustainable way to stay warm.
