From Dream to Fulfillment
Moldova Discovery Tours (MDT) is a boutique travel project born in 2023 from the passion of Dmitri Gavrilov, his friends from both sides of the Dniester River, and expats in Chișinău. However, our founder organized his first city tour for foreign visitors back in 2001. With background in international project management, B2B relationships, and logistics experience, along with many years of peacebuilding and reconciliation projects in Transdniestria, Dmitri adds his personal touch to every journey.
We travel ourselves whenever possible and understand what traveling adventurers require from a foreign country. Therefore, we take less obvious routes that balance beautifully connect Moldova’s popular landmarks and hidden attractions: ancient villages, deluxe hotels, mythical cellars of the vintage wines, cave monasteries, and manufactory production centers for caviar, cognac, cloth, and beer. For a hunger for action, there is horse riding, driving Soviet-age racecars, trekking, bike hire, and kayak trips to mention just a few.
