Easter Tour from Tiraspol to Chitcani with Guests from France and Spain
This Easter, our Glory and War Tour took a soulful turn as we were joined by wonderful comrades from France and Spain. Together, we wandered through the peaceful, holiday-silent streets of Tiraspol and Benderi, soaking in the unique stillness of a city draped in spring and memory.
Our journey led us to the mystic village of Chițcani, home to the awe-inspiring Mănăstirea Noul Neamț (New Neamț Monastery). There, surrounded by ancient walls and blooming trees, we delved into the world of modern monastic life, meeting monks who have chosen spiritual paths in a self-proclaimed republic that time almost forgot.
No visit is complete without tasting something local — and we were lucky to stop by a small, family-run café near the monastery, where we shared freshly baked placintas and pirozhki. The warm food and kind smiles made it feel like we were guests, not tourists.
